Poway Unified Announces New Principal Appointments for the 2012-2013 School Year

The Poway Unified School District is proud to announce the selection of seven new principals:
Elementary Schools: Michael Olander, Monterey Ridge Elementary School; and Bob Rodrigo, Sundance Elementary School.
Middle Schools: Tim Biland, Bernardo Heights Middle School; Dr. Kelly Burke, Twin Peaks Middle School; Casey Currigan, Oak Valley Middle School; and Gregory Magno, Black Mountain Middle School.
High School: David LeMaster, Rancho Bernardo High School.
The appointment of Ron Garrett as principal of Abraxas High School was announced on May 8, 2012 and also ratified by the PUSD Board of Education at its May 21, 2012 meeting. All positions begin on July 1, 2012.
Poway Unified Superintendent Dr. John Collins said, “The principals who have been chosen to join the Poway Unified team of outstanding educators will help our district as we move forward to foster an educational environment where our students are inspired to learn and motivated to explore, create, and reach their academic goals.”
