4S Ranch Little League 9/10 All-Stars a Team of Firsts
Posted on July 9, 2012
The 4S Ranch Little League 9/10 All Star team became the first in that league’s history to secure not only an District 31 Little League All Star win, but they managed to go undefeated in pool play to advance to the quarterfinal round of play.
Managed by Alex Mautz, with Assistant Coaches Steve Sargenti and David Hadzicki, the 9/10 All Stars are a talent-laden team who are taking the journey one game at a time. ”We have a series of goals” explained Mautz, “first, to win a game. Next, we want to see how far we can go in bracket play.” Mautz admits there is some strong competition, especially from Encinitas Little League, but he feels his team is ready for it.
Anchored by returning All Stars Jack Hartung, Luke haux, Cole Johnson, Brycen Mautz, Logan Parker, Max Power and Ryder Sargenti, this team is seasoned and ready for the pressure of a long run. Also joining this year’s roster as first-time all stars are Braden Deck, Jake Hadzicki, Carter Hunt, Garrett Ostrander, Sam Roberts and Colin Rothermel.
